Another view of the James Dean Memorial Junction crash area at Cholame, Sept. 9, 2002
Again a longer view, with the low setting sun to back. The green arrow shows about where the crash occurred, the purple area shows the "dip" and the white area shows where old Highway 466 (now Highway 46) came into the junction. Behind is Cholame. The signs and poles are new, and never were there in 1955, the year of the crash.  The basic surrounding area is about the same as it was in 1955.
